Understand the shoulder arm raise movement used by the shoulder MSK assessment.
The shoulder MSK flow includes an arm raise movement inside the physical
assessment. It runs in the /msk/assessment/{assessmentResultId} flow created
with assessmentCode: "shoulder".
The flow can ask the participant to restart when the torso turns, elbows bend, or the movement is too fast. If the arm remains below the detection threshold, the page can show a prompt and continue after its retry handling. These checks are part of the current UI guidance; the saved shoulder result is the authoritative API record.
The resulting measurements are stored in the shoulder result's
assessmentData.assessmentResults object under the deployed
SHOULDER_ASSESSMENT_RESULTS_V1 version. Read the version and measure fields
from MSK assessment API rather than deriving a score
from the movement callback alone.
Camera safety
The arm raise is a balance and range-of-motion task. Provide a clear area and follow the product's participant safety guidance. A callback or saved metric is not a clinical diagnosis.
